On my AMD Lenovo ThinkPads, the functions for the FN key and the Ctrl key can be "swapped" in BIOS. It'd be good to see what your settings there are, since making the BIOS swap still leaves the keys with their original ("wrong") labels.

Yes it does, however the shortcuts do offer an easier (for me anyway) "one click" solution for "getting 'er done".
