I installed the new update available today in the Microsoft Store, and this fixed the problem for me. (The one available yesterday didn't do the trick.)

Repair and reboot did not fix the problem. I am reluctant to "reset" as I do not want to lose all the data I've put into Calendar. Downloading the Mail & Calendar update from Windows Store makes the Calendar window think about it for a few seconds longer before shutting down. Gotta love this...
