Wow that's sad. Instagram works fine for me on Android regarding no large transparent blob, but something happened on windows. Where did you file your bug report? I could do the same.
Any update? Both my desktop (Win 10) and tablet (Win 11) experience exact same issue as you with Chrome and Edge. I've done the basic stuff.... deleted cookies and cache, but no help. Thank you.
