Interesting... This is picture taken with the Win 11 print screen. On my screen I can only see the tray icons on the bottom and the pinned / running applications on the top right. Not a vertical line as it the screenshot depicts !

On my computer, it was the latest version of StartAllBack that was preventing auto-hiding from time to hide. Closing StartAllBack, restarting explorer.exe solved.

I agree, this would be an amazing feature ! Sadly, Windows' 11 Start Button has 3 "variations" : normal, hovered and clicked. Until Windows natively supports it, this won't happen. I have not give WinForms TrackBar a try it. There is a free trial, but pricing is really expensive.
