    A new observation: I was just mucking about with an ACER Aspire C24 with Windows 11 (21H2) and, guess what? NO PROBLEMS AT ALL with the monitor sleeping AND waking using the sleep button. Therefore... Hardware or Firmware or BIOS? Peter

    The SLEEP button on my keyboard is assigned to the MONITOR SLEEP function. There is no problem going to SLEEP.
