I understand the joys that come with removing files from Explorer, or even better, the Registry. If grief is what one wishes, then this definitely would be the way to go.
When I search the net on 'Metadate', it seems to be a drug, simular to Ritalin.

Exactly to both replies, although it was so long after my last posting that I got the update, I had forgotten about this site. Next time I go that long, it might be best to remind me that Windows has updated my system. ;-)
I have found this file called 'metadate'. It is beneath a file, which consist of letters and numbers, resembling a Registry key.
My question is, what is that there for and can I safely delete it?
It could indeed be a bout of gas on Microsoft's part. I'm going to leave it alone for a bit but if it doesn't come down the pipes after another month or so, I will no doubt take your advice and download it manually. With an annual update, it's not like waiting till the spring anymore when there...

Am I the only lone one who isn't getting the Windows 11 22H2 update? I have a new laptop (MSI Katana) as of this summer and find it unique that I'm not getting the superior 22H2 update yet. Is this normal or abnormal?
