I also suspect the security system was updating, but not as often as I wanted. Every time I checked, it installed an update, leading me to believe it was not working.

I suspect Windows 11 23H2 does not allow Windows Security to automatically update, and provides no option to allow it to do so.

I did run Windows Security repair. No change. Windows Security does appear to be working correctly. I just doesn't automatically update.
