    SUCCESS! I ordered a Kingston 480 GB SSD and cloned it with MR, then put it into my computer. It works perfectly! Something about the Crucial just wasn't compatible with my system. I'm going to put the old Kingston 256 GB SSD in the ODD bay with the cradle and use it for any mass storage needs...

    Well, I downloaded the tool and ran it, and... I don't have a proxy, so that's out. Again, I'm stumped.

    Thanks. I did update my BIOS. I'll look into upgrading the SSD firmware also. I will probably look into getting another SSD, maybe another Kingston since I know that the one I have now is compatible with my PC.

    This one sure doesn't seem to be. I've cloned it and re-cloned it several times with Acronis, Macrium and Active@, all of which are supposed to produce an exact, bootable copy. I've scanned the SSD three or four times - no bad sectors showing. Disk management shows it as healthy and online, but...
