I got the computer put back together this afternoon on my lunch break. I've been re downloading programs and it's been stable for the last couple of hours.
Update. After much fuss and troubleshooting, I have created a clean install of windows. I lost my C: drive in the process, but am happy that my truly important files were on my D: drive. Right now I am reinstalling my programs and putting my computer back together.
