    I keep getting "Install error - 0x800f0982" when trying to install this through Windows Update; the standalone installer fails as well. I've tried troubleshooting, as well as DISM and sfc/scannow and returning no errors. I got the .NET update as well, and that installed with no issue.

    Yeah, I dont keep any OEM software on my machine. Unless there's a vulnerability being patched I dont worry about OEM updates.

    I generally will do a clean install on my main Windows machine (Dell Precision 7530) but this time I just decided to do a straight upgrade. Zero hiccups and all my main applications are not having issues.
