  1. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

So just close the dwm.exe process. OK, I will try the next time, many thanks!
  2. Solved What new laptop to recommend? At least 1 TB SSD, 17.3" display, 32 GB RAM

Thanks a lot! Yes, they look great. But also pretty expensive, unfortunately. Yes, but brand new would actually be what I would like to get, thank you.
  3. Solved What new laptop to recommend? At least 1 TB SSD, 17.3" display, 32 GB RAM

Ah, okay, who would’ve thought, thank you very much!
  4. Solved What new laptop to recommend? At least 1 TB SSD, 17.3" display, 32 GB RAM

They appear to be a bit more expensive than the ones above. Yes, if money was no object it would be much easier, I guess. Many thanks!
  5. Solved What new laptop to recommend? At least 1 TB SSD, 17.3" display, 32 GB RAM

What laptop would you recommend? It should be as good as possible for as little money as possible, preferably discounted during Black Friday week or on Black Friday. At least 1 TB SSD At least 43.9 cm / 17.3" display At least 32 GB RAM Additionally desirable (if available): As quiet as...
  6. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Yes, and that's what I really appreciate. Thank you!
  7. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Many thanks! Very surprising, another one had that issue. OK, I will try that (if need be) after using wiganken's great script the next time the issue occurrs again. But the stuck items here are not clickable, when I try to click them the program on top is clickt somewhere.
  8. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Yes, that is right. So the symton is gone at the moment, it sometime will come back. Like it did in the past, I guess, 5 or 10 years, maybe since Win 7 or so. Sometimes the leftover disappears when closing the program (every program might cause it, I believe, it is not a special one) somehow...
  9. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Thank you very much! I had to reboot, so now the remnant is gone. So when I have the same problem the next time I just would click the bat twice and then I would post a result of a scan / check or so? Or does the bat change anything in the system / on a drive? Many thanks again!
  10. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Thank you! So here is the desktop: Clicked on the (black) ground and pressed F5, the remnant is still there.
  11. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

No, I didn't. Pressing F5 refreshes some programs / pages with me. Not the screen I would think. How (else) could one refresh the screen?
  12. Remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program

Occasionally, remnants/parts of programs remain visible on the screen after closing the program, which I cannot get rid of except by restarting the computer: The remnant is ALWAYS above every window, so ALWAYS visible. How could I remove it without rebooting?
  13. Personalization Add "Turn off display" Context Menu in Windows 11

I will do so, thank you! It is about 1½ years old, running every day for about 16 hours, yes, maybe it is time to do that, thank you. I once (or more than once) used a vacuum cleaner (to avoid taking apart the Notebook) to try to suck (at least a little) dust from the backside of the Notebook...
