So no one knows how to fix this??? I feel like it's just a matter of having a setting wrong. After all the computer shows up as a media device, just not as a computer.

Why doesn't my laptop appear as a device on my network? There is only one other laptop showing. However, my WMP library is listed as a media device. I've tried the usual suggestions: making sure the network is set to private and enabling network discovery and file and printer sharing, but...
