You fixed it! Apparently this program "ExtremeCopy" was the issue. I have used it in windows 7 since it was superior to the classic one. However, I can still use it, just with disabled context menu. Thanks so much!!!

Clean Boot (and Safe Mode by extent) didn't fix anything, and neither did fixing corrupt files (it found and repaired some, but no errors or files it couldn't repair). I am too scared to do a repair install, so I'd rather try anything else that might help. Also could it by chance be related to...
