well i am on a unsupported machine and i got 23h2 with a edited appraiserres trick. and not on any of the build channels .

I wonder how this will effect the ones that all ready have 23h2 installed on un supported machines. It seems like the key word here is installation . does it mean a fresh clean install and or a in place upgrade. I was able to do a in place upgrade before ms did away with editting the apriss dil...

dam that stinks . i wonder if you had just tried it with some charcaters like i did . if i would have worked . just amazed that in less than 24 hours ms did that . but hey does anything the do make sense . i might try my iso i made on the wifes desktop just for kicks lol

if i can figure out a way to upload the iso file i will upload the iso file that worked for me yesterday. can someone make a few suggestions on what to use other than google drive. i have never used a uploading service to do this .

Worked for me however i add to use win rar to change the appraiserres.dll file . just opened it up selected all then delete. just typed some random keystrokes and blammo. had 23h2. only draw back is i had to use the insiders beta to get the co pilot feature to work .unless i am missing something...

you have to be on the dev channel to install it . thats what i did

yea , it seems to be working ok . other than a slow startup but thats because i am used to a ssd . i had to go back to a hhd . but everything realated to windows 11 seems to be working ok .

Other than the settings desktop icon missing the icon yes.

I just installed on a unsupported machine. So far the only issue i can see is that if i have the settings icon on the desktop. I loose the image icon on the folder.

have you tried bypassing windows updates and tried to get it from updates catalog ? Microsoft Update Catalog have you tried check disk commands. might have to do a clean install of windows 11. i have a older windows box that does not support tpm or cpu specs. to this date i have not had any...

done on a unsupported machine. no problems loading windows terminal from win key x even opens when i click on it
