Greetings, I have a recurring issue: my Lenovo Yoga C930 constantly gets the "audio renderer error - please restart computer." The only "fix" seems to be reverting to one of older drivers from Lenovo, but Windows 11 insists on updating the driver automatically, causing the issue to happen on a...
Thanks a ton, this actually worked. I don't why they don't let you drag app icons from the search menu, which is what I normally use, haha. Also not sure why manually creating a shortcut via r/c from the app folder doesn't work (from a user standpoint), but dragging a drop specifically from...
Hey, I'm back with yet another frustrating W11 issue. I have a Dolby Atmos enabled laptop, but over the lifespan of my device, Dolby had the brilliant idea of making its app solely available on the W11 App Store. After editing permissions so that I could view folders in the hidden "WindowsApp"...
Also, with regard to the other suggestions:
1. Set BIOS power profile to performance (in case it was overriding my settings)--no change
2. I changed power settings USB in device manager and it does not reset the power management settings there. My BIOS settings have "always on usb" set on by...
I'll give that a try, but my guess it that it will reset on boot like most of the other power settings. I'm also going to take another look at the BIOS. I'll look into the group policy as well.
Adding useful features and having comprehensive QA testing on your OS build costs time and money. Why not have an intern design a bad graphic feature that directs you to content that's usually directly funded by MS to some extent? Win-win for everyone except your end user. 🤷♂️
I'm more taking issue with both the advertising angle of it as well as having little objects appear without my consent. I like seafood, but I don't want Microsoft randomly sticking a shrimp graphic on my taskbar and then giving me a dozen articles (read as ads) about seafood. I use a VPN and...
I just updated to the newest build of Windows 11 and I noticed little graphics appearing in the taskbar search bar. Today it was a garish basketball for March Madness and my suggested content spammed we with a bunch of March Madness articles. Why? Who at Microsoft thought this was a good...
I'll read up on this when I get home. My issue is that those advanced power options are "missing" from the advanced power options in both custom and default power plans. None of the lines for the command prompt reveal the options. When I did this before I could use the registry, either by...
Hello, I've done this in the past on W10 using both the command prompt and registry editor, but I'm having no luck enabling the "hidden" advanced power options, such as usb power management. For one the CSenabled setting doesn't exist. Nor does the "Attributes" binary under the power...
