My little ARM64 Surface 7 Laptop has displayed my boot menu like that pic from day one. I thought it was an ARM thing. Is it actually changeable?

Won't work on that build I'm afraid, only Beta and above insider builds. It's coming though eventually.

This vivetool works great for Beta and Dev builds but not out for RP and public yet.

Sounds nice but I bet the price is as much as a high end Alienware 18" laptop.

The resize choice is almost here. I have it in Beta now.

I've enabled resizing on my Beta builds with vivetool. Not on the public and RP builds yet though.

Vivetool generally is safe to use though some of the features it enables may not always be the most stable. If you enable a buggy one just disable it again. For that reason it's good to keep a list or database of which ones you use. And of course as mentioned certain codes will only work on...

Those are the same codes I used on two Beta machines and they work perfect. 😉

Just FYI, you can add the menu size settings switch in Beta 26220.8544 with the vivetool codes and they work fine.

So when is the fix expected? Never mind, I'm already on 26.01

The old menu usually won’t load at all now because Microsoft has disabled the underlying code paths, so the result is a non‑functional or ignored Start menu.
