Is there a link for the Carbonite downgrade? I have the same issue - File Explorer crashes even if it simply displays a .zip file in a folder's contents (don't have to click on it - it just needs to be visible in the File Explorer window). I can't seem to find a repository of their down-rev'd...

Are you also running Carbonite by chance? I've found that the File Explorer crash occurs even when a .zip file is _displayed_ in File Explorer even if I don't click on it. If the .zip file is not on-screen, everything is fine. You may want to check this post which I just found. I'm going to try...
