  1. Version driver issues

have an hp laptop with windows 11. Since installing the latest version 23H2, it no longer accepts input from the keyboard. No matter what I try, like updating keyboard driver, uninstalling keyboard driver, it's all useless. Is it possible to get 22H2? That was the last version where my keyboard...
  2. Solved Sleep/Hibernate mode

Thanks, glasskuter, but the issue hasn't come up again since I was able to handle it through the control panel, per your instructions.
  3. Solved Sleep/Hibernate mode

I guess the setting in the Control Panel took care of it. Thank you all.
  4. Solved Sleep/Hibernate mode

Sorry; your reply went to junk mail. Didn't know anyone had answered. After reading your answers, I changed my settings to 'never', Edwin. Also, glasskutter, to the powercfg -a. It says this: The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby (S3) Hibernate Hybrid...
  5. Solved Sleep/Hibernate mode

I am on 23H2 2024-04, Windows 11. My laptop is an HP 15z-ef1. It has 8GB of ram. All along, for two years, it was acting with no problems. I recently refreshed it and reinstalled windows because of a blue screen of death. Now, after a period of inactivity, 3-4 hours at least, I have a hard time...
  6. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

At this point, I have it boxed up, ready for return. I will no longer beat a dead horse.
  7. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thank you, hsehestedt. I actually did that. And it returned nothing. Nothing was found. On the other hand, the keyfinder utility finds a product key, but it isn't valid.
  8. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thanks try3. It maybe common, but I had never seen it on a laptop that is supposed to be NEW.
  9. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thanks again, bobkn; yes, it did have the boot partition and the recovery partition. But I discovered that, there was a C drive of about 120 GB and a D drive with the rest (the entire SSD disk holds 512 GB). That was totally unexpected. I seems as though I got a laptop that someone else had...
  10. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

I will no longer try anything. I am boxing it up for return. Thank you all.
  11. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thank you all for your replies. Walmart's description said Windows 11 Pro. Anyway, one of you suggested a clean install. I did that, and it is still the same. No key found. Cannot activate it. Another possibility is that maybe I was shipped a defective laptop. The hard disk was already split in...
  12. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Someone else on the forum said that having a MS account is not necessary. You're right, this puzzled me, too. Fact is, the three time this laptop had reinstalled after being reset, it never asked for an email address, only who will use this and asked for a password. I am very disappointed.
  13. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thanks, Megahertz. Yes, it was sold as with Windows 11 Pro. But the laptop came directly from a warehouse in New Jersey, it didn't pass through anyone else.
  14. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

It says 'sold by Walmart', but the actual seller is KUU-Tech. The laptop is known as a Yepbook. There was nothing suspicious about it until I tried to validate it three times. Someone suggested that I post a screenshot. Here it is.
  15. Activation of Win 11 Pro keeps failing

Thank you bobkn. Windows has never been activated. Activation has never worked. This laptop was sold by Walmart, ordered online.
