  1. My PC will occasionally reboots out of nowhere when it is idle for an hour or so. Happens once every couple weeks.

I'm not sure if I did this right. When I select "Share" I osemar@microsof.com. I sent two files 2023-22-23_APPLICATION and 2023-22-23_SYSTEM. I also turned sharing on and selected Microsoft Teams.

I had changed the graphic driver and thought all was well but another random reboot happened again a short time ago.

For the record, I have been present only once when a restart has occurred and there was never a warning, my PC just rebooted to a blue Windows login screen. Most of the time the restart happened while I was away from the PC 30 minutes or so. Find the V2 log attached.

Critical @2:23 PM. That is the time frame I was away from my PC. Kernal-Power on August 8

I never have run my PC 24-7. It's off when I am done for the day.
  6. My PC will occasionally reboots out of nowhere when it is idle for an hour or so. Happens once every couple weeks.

This is not consistent but occasion my PC will reboot out of nowhere when it is idle for an hour or so. I don't know if it's a crash or something else as I was not rendering a project. This happens about once every two weeks. I have no idea how to trouble shoot this to find out what may cause...
  7. Solved Don’t see WiFi internet option in Network Settings

Thanks for your suggestions. Overnight I recalled I did a clean install recently while using ethernet connection. Maybe without an active WiFi the driver wasn't installed during the clean install. Using my wife's PC I researched and found the driver, installed it, rebooted and now have WiFi.
  8. Solved Don’t see WiFi internet option in Network Settings

About 2 years ago I bought a WiFi card for my PC. When we moved my computer wasn’t receiving a decent signal so I had a technical run ethernet cable. Now I need to use WiFi access but all I see available in Network Settings is Ethernet. No WiFi. I thought there might be a setting in BIOS but...
  9. Clean install fixed some issues but created another.

I thought my other issues were with the Insider version of Win 11. For example, my software (Oops! Backup is old software, 10yrs+) for backing up data could not open because of a max size file name. Windows said it was over the max of 260+characters. I could look into folders on the HDD (the HDD...
  10. Clean install fixed some issues but created another.

Yes. I do have a WiFi compatible card but use a direct connection to my modem. Get 350Mbs with it. While troubleshooting today I noticed the HDD drive got noisy. I decided to and move on. I purchase a Seagate Expansion 6TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0...
  11. Clean install fixed some issues but created another.

Yes. When I finished the clean install, I immediately installed the AMD Chipset drivers. I only see in Device Management a Network Controller located at PCI bus 6, device 0, function 0 without drivers and none can be found. Everything on my PC seems okay except the backup HDD.
  12. Clean install fixed some issues but created another.

I was on the Windows 11 Insider Program but had some issues and did a clean install to a stable release of Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1413). Before the clean install my USB 6TB backup NTFS HDD was fully recognized. Now, it's not. All Disk Management says is the drive is...
  13. Solved Seems like too many Background Processes to me. Are there?

    I had a Commodore 64 as well. :-)

No apology necessary. I didn't take any offense. Everyone in this forum have the best of intension when offering suggestions. I get into trouble when tinkering so I don't. That keeps me out of trouble. ;-)
