A little off topic but I'm still using Money 99 on Win 11. Works perfectly, has data dating back to 1996. Installed with no problems straight from original licensed CD that I still have.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I have made no changes to the bios and have no instances of Hyper V in device manager but do have entries in services all set to manual. This error appeared only after a day after last update KB5063060.
Funny that some apps also didn't load on first...
My system is usually error free or if not I can sort it easily but after the most recent MS update this error appears after a reboot.
The virtualization-based security enablement policy check at phase 6 failed with status: Unknown NTSTATUS Error code: 0xc000ffff
Doesn't seem to be causing any...
I forced a rebuild and now back over 270000 items. I always check the index after updates just out of curiosity to see roughly how many new files have been added. I've never seen less before!
Installed fine no errors but noticed that system decided to rebuild the index after this update without any input from me. Previously around 270000 files were indexed, ( I check it ) now it's says indexing complete with only 76129 items! I wonder what triggered this automatic rebuild? Rebooted...
I had this problem and it was caused by the system looking for dual monitors on boot. Try pressing Windows Key + p. Make sure setting hasn't changed. Should be on PC screen only. Don't know what changed mine to duplicate but changing it back fixed the boot issue.
I think that KB 5035349 has to be installed prior to KB5035942. Unfortunately its not available on the Microsoft update catalogue for some reason and was on a gradual roll out. So gradual that it took 13 months to download onto my PC! But with both those KB'S on my system I no longer get the...
Well KB 5035942 finally stopped updating daily! Two days ago it installed automatically along with KB 5035349 which is over 12 months old but it seems they both finally installed correctly. Why? Who Knows. Also at the same time File Explorer menu 3 dot menu opens down at last and System, About...
Follow up after deleting reg key 2068527244. After deleting key, KB5035349 was "installed" which is an old update. All was good for 4 days then back came old friend KB5035942. Deleted key again and on reboot KB5035349 came back but on further reboot KB5035349 is gone and KB5035942 is back...
I bit the bullet and deleted the whole key 2068527244 which you found in the registry (exported it first). After 2 days no more KB5035942 updates and no errors or any adverse actions. Fixed!
Do a web search and you will see this has been ongoing for almost a year. Nothing suggested here or anywhere else works at stopping the daily update of KB5035942. It doesn't actually install although it says successful. I believe it is happening to a lot more people but they are not checking...
I updated from mounted ISO and 24H2 is working fine but I do have the SFC and 8.63gb issue. I have cleaned all install files and folders including Win.old but interestingly I did a file count from indexing before update and it was 270827. At the moment it is over 470000 and still indexing! All...
