Thanks and appreciate the quick reply! Interestingly, I tried doing a restore from both the old system protection restore points as well as the new point-in-time snapshots, and they both completed within about 10 mins. Although in my case this was on a brand new laptop with little to no change...

@Brink do you know if any one has found any methods for manually triggering a PIT VSS snapshot? I know its "automatic" but the old restore point is able to do this and it's handy when you know you're about to do something that you likely will want to rollback from. However it's my understanding...
