  2. Software for setting up networks and sharing in Windows 11 and 10

You know, Denis, I think I followed your procedure a few years back, and it worked. Sorry for forgetting (I am at the forgetting stage of my life :-). I will read your stuff again! Thanks! Hans L
  3. Software for setting up networks and sharing in Windows 11 and 10

I did see this before, but since it was from 2016, I assumed the note somewhere else that it was no longer available was correct. In any event, Win 11 is not mentioned, so no update by MajorGeeks. Network Magic Basic 5.5.9195 Author: Pure Networks, Inc. Date: 10/16/2016 Size: 32.6 MB...
  4. Software for setting up networks and sharing in Windows 11 and 10

Obviously no longer available. There are alternatives, but I will have to check and see if they are worth purchasing (if they do what I need). Thanks anyway! Hans L
  5. Software for setting up networks and sharing in Windows 11 and 10

Windows networking is, at least for me, impossible to work with. So, are there software available that one can use for setting up networks and establish file/printer sharing in and between Windows 11 and Windows 10? Thnaks for your help! Hans L
  6. Taskbar is wild, causing problems

Ran the sfc. /scannow. Corrupt files were detected and repaired. Win 11 seem to behave better, although one strange thing on NYTimes website: when clicking on a menu item, the item closed right away. When I kept the cursor on the menu, it stayed open and I was able to make a choice. Not sure...
  7. Taskbar is wild, causing problems

Okay, Glasskuter, I will revert to your original suggestion, and I will run sfc /scannow. Thanks again, Hans L
  8. Taskbar is wild, causing problems

I'll start with a repair install, since you think that will fix the problem. Thank you!!! Hans L
  9. Taskbar is wild, causing problems

When I try to use RoboForm from my browser, but it requires the maih password, it refers me up to the top right, where I click on RoboForm to enter the main password. That is when the darn taskbar pops up and creates havoc. (In my Win 10 desktop, a separate window opens up when I need to put the...
  10. Taskbar is wild, causing problems

It used to be the Taskbar Manager/Task bar settings popup that caused me problems. I solved it by telling the taskbar not to show its ugly face. Now, when I, for instance, click on RoboForm to enter my main password, the Taskbar pops up and the RoboForm windows closes. Over and over and over...
  11. Is a "Task..." popup causing my troubles

Could not do the changes. I think the tutorial is for an earlier version of Windows 11. However, now that I know what makes the popup pop up, I have been able to avoid it popping up, so my problem is solved. Again, thanks! Hans L
  12. Is a "Task..." popup causing my troubles

John, of course (now that I know :-). I hold fingers on the screen quite some time when I activate a box where I want to put a letter in puzzles. I have printed out the tutorial and will now go in and make the changes. Thank you very much!!! / Hans L
  13. Is a "Task..." popup causing my troubles

From time to time, a little window (from monitor's bottom) containing the two lines "Task manager" and "Task bar settings" pops up and then, I have trouble using mouse and fingers on the screen. For instance, the NYTimes puzzle does not allow me to put in letters, and I cannot close apps and...
