The website in question does use the https:// protocol.

This couldn't be an ISP filtering issue could it? I mean what if it turns out that all of us were using the same ISP?

I emailed Newsmax tech support with this issue yesterday and linked this forum thread.

I have also encountered this problem recently when trying to load http://newsmax.com and have encountered it in the past as well on the same website. The issue is exactly as described by others here and is browser independent. Turning off ad blockers or putting Firefox in troubleshooting mode...
