  1. Start Menu Search not working right - Typing causes loading

Look at these reg entries: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search] "AllowCortana"=dword:00000000 "AllowSearchToUseLocation"=dword:00000000 "DisableWebSearch"=dword:00000001 "ConnectedSearchUseWeb"=dword:00000000...
  2. Win 11 won't boot after restart but boots fine after shutdown

I too have a M/B with diagnostic LEDs. Turn off, use ground strap if you have one, reseat each memory module. (This solved my issue.) Also reseat each cable; drive, peripherals, etc. If the LED is still lit on reboot, go to the OEM site and look for diagnostic utilities, driver updates, etc.
  3. Registry Cleaner App?

Just got redirected here (again) from another tech site. Re-reading all, just because, I noticed a concern with most "reg cleaners" is safety. Just wanted to point out something in Revo Uninstaller. I'm fairly certain other cleaners have options, too.

  6. Solved Reinstall Microsoft Print to PDF?

Just FYI: Microsoft addresses this issue by saying "Instead of Print to PDF, select Print > Save as PDF. This allows inclusion of headers & footers (ie, source URL)."
  7. Registry Cleaner App?

Anyone remember Microsoft's very own built-in Disk Cleanup? Which has now been retired and replaced with Storage Sense? I've used CleanMgr+ to good effect when migrating to a newer Windows. Cleanmgr+ is a modern take of Microsoft Disk Cleanup and comes with all the features that the original...
  8. Registry Cleaner App?

Please note that one of the things Revo and Geek uninstallers do is clean the registry as part of an uninstall.
  9. Registry Cleaner App?

Interesting. I designed, fabricated, built, installed and used my first computer in 1975. My first PC in 1985 or thereabouts. I've worked in all positions, helpdesk, manager, database creation and support, network and internetwork design, etc., etc. I've never felt the need to prove that a...

  12. Get ready to purchase a new Windows Activation key

  14. New Outlook for Windows 11 now available

@microsoft.com: I currently use Outlook (desktop) and have 12 separate accounts, all handled via one unified mailbox. Everything shows up in 1 inbox, 1 outbox, 1 deleted and so on. My email is stored locally, so I still have access even when the net is down or when some government flunky...
