@imanlien2020 It's possible.
Without Open-Shell. I haven't been tracking what each and every Windows 11 update does,
for Windows 10 is my daily operating system.
With Open-Shell,
I don't know is this the end of glass blur? Only Microsoft knows what they are doing or do they?
Vista and 7 had...
It sure feels like Microsoft is trying its best to put glass blur 6 feet under for good.
I gather you are on 22H2 and talking about that Aero-like transparent menu glass blur that does not work anymore.
I see Big Muscle of glass8.eu has thrown in the towel,
so no hope it can be revived that...
We even have an XP-era machine upgraded to Windows 10 that's used almost daily in the kitchen.
It's left on for days at a time. Has never failed yet.
Only updated it with an SSD and wireless keyboard & mouse.
All 6 machines in the house have Windows 10 installed and work fine for TV, personal...
Wow, very nice-looking motherboard, and the caps a very small.
I guess that's because of the higher switching frequencies used
and the caps are better quality solid low ESR types.
I think the second picture has solid polymer aluminum capacitors which are good.
Most electrolytics with electrolyte fluid inside have the telltale cross in the top of the metal can.
That will vent the liquid or gas slowly instead of blowing up with a bang.
Yes exactly, that's the problem with that software basic display driver. Too slow with 1 or 2core CPU.
For the last few years, I had upgraded that Vista machine with 32-bit Windows 10 with a new power supply, an SSD drive, and GeForce 710 graphics card. Worked great for old games, web, and...
Hi @spapakons
This morning I started up Win11 22H2 with the lan cord plugged in expecting it to crash,
but behold, the system did not crash! I can switch back and forth between wifi and lan ethernet.
Tried again restarting with no system crash.
I didn't do anything. Didn't change any more...
Well, I have upgraded 21H2 to 22H2 on two machines now (upstairs and downstairs), with the same method,
that @Nobody used:
Rufus 3.20 and Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade Tutorial
Couldn't be happier except for one issue I have failed to figure out on the downstairs
HP...
You could do it the easy way, have Rufus do it for you.
This is what it does in the sources folder:
appraiserres.bak BAK File 178 KB
appraiserres.dll Application extension 0 KB
Hey Edwin. You're not the only one who likes that old WindowBlinds theme.
I even ported just the start menu part to Classic Shell forum a couple years ago:

Hi.
I'm still using the free EaseUS Todo Backup version 2.51 boot disc and free EaseUS Todo Backup version 8.6 & 8.9
They have saved me countless times through the years on XP, Win7,8,10.
I never had a problem with using different versions of images. Where I had a bad experience with Macrium...
Very nice menu skin. Rounded corners have come full circle.
I don't recall seeing that skin on the old Classic Shell site.
You must have skinned it yourself?
That's the good thing about CSM/OSM,
one can modify any of Ivo's (original developer) skins
to their heart's content.
Edit: I figured it...
Yes, Classic/Open-Shell is a bit like the Energizer Bunny.
Even though it lacks any new code to take advantage of Windows 11 super blurry noisy menu looks,
it keeps on working for the most part.
All I can think of is the keyboard might use a key like "ScrollLock" that toggles the backlight on and off.
It might reset to off at the computer power down.
You might need to hit that key at each boot.
See if your BIOS has a setting called "Erp"
It might help either by enabling or disabling...
