Hi Dacrone. I have many shortcuts on my taskbar. The 3 major shortcuts are for: File Explorer. Control Panel. System. I created a custom shortcut icon for File Explorer (Looks like the old windows Explorer icon). which takes me directly to the C:\ root.

Have you tried unpinning the original File Explorer icon? BTW, I use StartAllBAck which allows for more customization of the interface.

Hmmm... It seems StartAllBack v3.9.3 has been released. StartAllBack to fix all Windows 11 deal-breaking UI issues. I'm going to give it a try on my 'test' computer to see what changes have been made.

It's a "release candidate" version that the author is ready to give his stamp of approval for general consumption. I'll wait for the "final" version.
