I was born, raised and worked in the UK. I've spent almost half my life visiting and living in Kenya. Now I'm here in Kenya for the foreseeable future.
The UK isn't what it used to be.
I've worked in IT since 1993. Everything from DOS 5 & Windows 3.0 with Novel NetWare, through all iterations of windows, 3.1, 3.11, XP, 95, 98, Millennium, 2000, Windows NT, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 & 11. Apple System 6.5, 7.0 & 7.5. OS2 Warp.
I don't like Linux because it never installed back in the day. But I use Mint Cinnamon and Zorin occasionally as I can mount failing or corrupted windows drives and recover data, so I just use them on a USB stick.
I've had until recently my own computer repair business in the UK.
I've worked as a contractor on and off.
Back in 2000 I had a computer warehouse that sold refurbished computers to the general public. (Lots of ex Millennium Bug replaced computers that were millennium compliant and too good to bin).
Now I'm retired in the UK and possibly starting a completely different career path that should take me around Africa and hopefully beyond.
Yes I'm bored living in the endless sunshine of Kenya already.
