On my system, the ones that go to the "spam" the most are ".gmail.com" addresses. And they seem to deserve it. At least on the email addresses that I handle.
I have two ."yahoo.com" and two ".gmail".com addresses. The ".gmail.com" addresses never get any spam, but one of the ."yahoo.com"...
I use both Yahoo and Gmail. The Gmail accounts never see any spam. I send some test mail, now and then, but that's it. Only one of the Yahoo accounts gets any spam (2 to 3 a week). The spam I do get comes through a redirect in an old ".msn" account that my wife (RIP) had. I have tried to delete...
I find that pretty normal, if it is installing an update outside of my "active hours". I have my active hours set to 3:00 AM to 9:00 PM. However I have some pretty erratic usage hours, so it sometimes starts a update install while I am working at midnight. Then the download bothers my work...
Personally, I never liked the split keyboards. I found them to be too unstable and I often like to stretch my fingers to some non-standard reaches.
I learned to type when I was in 7th grade (1962) and have been using a keyboard on computers since around 1967. I have gone from having to mash the...
I get that same error every time I shutdown my computer, without shutting down all applications. I have a tendency to leave my browser and a few apps running. Mostly, I just ignore it. It has never caused an issue. Sometimes the OS warns me, before it shuts down. I just tell it to shut down any way.
I'm running a HP laptop with the latest 23H2 update (KB5035853). My number pad keys seem to be operating correctly. In the non-number mode, the "ins" key, on my laptop, also appears to do nothing. In the number mode, the "ins" key inserts a "0". The "del" key, when enable, does a forward delete...
I installed KB5035853 on my 23H2 x64 laptop, on March 13. I haven't seen any issues. I have been running W11 for over 2 years and haven't had a single issue with any of the updates. Maybe I'm just lucky.
This doesn't exactly fix your problem the way you want but, I have a W10 desktop that I use with my radios. I also have a wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard and mouse both have an on/off switch. So I just turn them off and leave the desktop and monitor running. I could turn off the...
I have two Yahoo email accounts and two Gmail accounts. I seldom use the Gmail accounts, but check them every day. Maybe they get activity once a month, and that is usually some Google update or a test email from me. My main email account on Yahoo, gets some junk about one a month, but the spam...
I have been using Windows 11 for about 2 years now. I don't care for Widgets, so I deleted them, a long time ago. I looked around and can't find any reference to a Widget app anywhere. However, every time I reboot, after a windows update, I see a Widget process in my background processes. I...
My laptop runs scans once or twice a week, without any manual intervention. It runs in the background without affecting my work and shows up on the Notification Bell. But, I don't remember where that setting is.
I do something similar, but don't have any notification issues. My HP laptop is completely up to date and connects to sites just fine.
What does one of your links look like?
I wrote a local HTML/Javascript page that has links to all my important web sites. If I want to get on my bank or credit...
On my laptop (HP 15-dw0xx) the "prt sc" key doesn't require any extra "alt" or "fn" button. It just copies what you want to the "clipboard". Then I can open a graphic utility and just paste it in.
The graphic utility I use is IrfanView. So I can also use IrfanView to selectively clip from the...
