Thanks again for your answers, I really appreciate all the help I'm receiving in this Forum!
The full story of this PC is that I bought it from Mifcom, I customized the configuration, an expert agent checked my configuration, confirmed it and I received it. I selected "no OS installation". This...
I tried to plug-in the USB Logitech receiver in all the available USB-A ports.
I also tested the 3x Type-C ports using an adapter.
The result is that the USB mouse & keyboard are working. Same story when I plug in the USB drive.
It's really incredible because there is a warning but all the ports...
Just to be clear, I installed all the following drivers which are listed in the Asus product page:
LAN
WiFi
Intel DTT
Intel ME
Intel Chipset
Intel Serial IO
Intel GNA
Realtek USB Audio
Bluetooth
Intel Thunderbolt
Intel Rapid Storage Technology
With respect to the motherboard, there is not...
Of course I did it. Doing this I also lose the mouse and keyboard operations and I'm forced to press the reset button on the case. This process is not leading to any noticeable change. I think it's not normal that I need to struggle so much if I correctly install all the drivers.
I don't have this device, and I don't know how to trigger it... The only available drivers are listed in the Asus product page. I think this hardware is not present in the Strix Z790-E.
I continue to struggle with this warning and I don't receive any support from Asus.

Again, if hardware is not installed, I should see "Other devices" in Device Manager...
I tried Slackware Linux live (booted from USB drive) and run the dmesg -w command (see attachment).
If I'm not wrong, in Linux this issue is not present.
Hello, I installed the most updated chipset driver:
In the previous Windows 11 Pro installation, I used the official chipset driver from Asus website:
Nevertheless, both chipset versions are fine and the warning is always there.
Device PNP Device ID Error Code
Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed) USB\VID_0000&PID_0001\5&25B7E96&0&20 43
I just googled it but I cannot find any similar case.
Yes, but if I exclude all the additional USB ports in the front panel, I don't see any reason to remove the motherboard.
I excluded:
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- LAN
- Audio
- Thunderbolt
- Corsair Link system Hub
- No external SATA drives
And the warning is always present in the Device Manager.
It's...
