    Hi folks: Win 11 home, version 22H2, OS build 22621.2134 I can't associate the most common picture files with Irfanview 64. All file extensions I never heard of, associate just fine. Does anyone here know what to do?

    Hi glasskuter: I tried our suggestion and I got to a recovery screen, but it says it can't because my PC is broken:-) an old win 7 boot disk and was given the same options and the same answer. What do you think?

    I bought a new Acer PC with win 11. It kept putting downloads into the wrong folder. As a last resort I removed permission for the system to use that folder, and now I can't get into the compurer.

    Glasskuter The High Definition driver worked. Thankyou very much:-) I will have to uninstall the fx thing because it won't allow me to switch to earphones. Otherwise, all is well.

    I did it brummyfan, and it looked promising, the little x came off the speaker icon on the taskbar, and I can adjust the volume, I can see that it is playing but there still is no sound on speakers or earphones. It still says no input or output device installed.

    Before I try this glasskuter, are you suggesting that the intel driver which was working in the first place is not the correct driver?

    It seems to me that if my audio device is onboard and is good, and the driver is installed and is working fine, but I still have no audio, that something is missing between the device and the driver. Is there an installation procedure for the onboard device itself?
