Widgets are functional, even with a local account. Some features of widgets might need a MS account, but the widget window itself is accessible and it does indeed display up to date content like news, weather etc... So yeah the widgets work even on a local account. Maybe yours are disabled for...

Issue still present here... I have been using a Local account since the beginning, i do not have a microsoft account anyway. Therefore i dont think this is due to widgets, or that would mean some widget stuff still happens in the background even if you aren't logged in to a MS account.

Thats kinda what i figured out, sadly i as i said in #69 i cant get into the *real* bios to re-enable S3 sleep so my only workaround is to leave the screen on at all times. In any case, this clearly has nothing to do with our desktop icons problem so i will stop mentioning it. Thanks for your help.
