Oh my lord... did the remove the netplwiz setting to where I don't have to enter my password to log-in all the time?
The tickbox is gone from that application's window.
Soo.. I hadn't told FE to open each window as a separate process. It was even still ticked in FE Options, and the SeperateProcess reg key had the default 0 on it. Changing it to 1, then back again after restarts didn't get me back to Windows 11 FE ''command bar'', I believe it's called.
Then...
Thank you. You really meant restart the explorer.exe process,, and not restart pc lol, once I did that it moved to the top.
Granted, it was a blank taskbar, so I then had to sign-out and sign back in again to finally get it looking right.
Only issue here is that when clicking on the Start...

I appear to have done something to revert half of File Explorer to W10. I currently have W10 Ribbon and Quick Access Menu's; as well as W11 right-click menu.
I randomly noticed it just now. I think the only thing I've done recently is the dll to see if the w10 context menu...
Currently there are too many Cons vs Pros for me to use W11 as my daily driver for a long time. It would mean giving up a lot of the customization workarounds I've put into W10 to improve usability for myself. What a shame...
- Alas, my dll's to kill the new immersive context menu from W10 don't fully work correctly on W11. They do two things. Make the right click menu respect your display settings for text menu items (bold, text size), and also removed the ass light-grey-on-white or light-grey-on-dark-grey hover...
+ Running my reg file to resize the touch keyboard allowed me to undock the traditional keyboard layout so that floats. Then I found the keyboard size slider bar at the top of theme the touch keyboard settings page. 165 gets it to about half the screen horizontally.. but there's margins all...
- The only way to stop Start Menu's Recommendations area from spying on your every move, is to disable Quick Access and Jump Lists (all tied together). WTH, Jump Lists should be separate, they serve a totally different function.
In Short -
- the new row of buttons at the top of File Explorer on W11 isn't the same as the Quick Access bar, that seems to be dead. And it's not customizable.
- whilst you can put the touch keyboard into ''traditional'' layout, it's flipping huge and it won't change to undocked in that layout...
