Thanks. This is no big deal, though. Open-Shell and T-Clock are affected, both customization utilities. T-Clock doesn't work at all with 24H2 Dev and shortcuts can no longer be dragged into the Open-Shell start menu. But there is a simple workaround for the Open-Shell problem. Creating a...
I decided to switch my 11 Beta Insider Preview to Dev based on this update. Installation went smoothly, but I soon learned it severely interfered with at least 2 third party programs I depend on. Hoping this was due to bugs that will get worked out before 24H2 is officially released...

Tried Proton free VPN. It showed me the usefulness of a VPN, but was too limiting. Finally cancelled that and signed up with Surfshark for 2 years of their Starter plan at only $59.75 total. I'm well satisfied with it so far.
Thanks for the suggestions, allan, Wizewiz & antspants. NordVPN is definitely something I'd be looking at if this was more serious, but it's just for fun. I can get Surfshark for nearly $33 less for 2 years. As for Kaspersky, afraid I'm a bit wary about dealing with a Russian company.
I'm thinking of trying a VPN since I want to access some European websites that I otherwise can't from the US. Is Surfshark any good? I've heard some pretty good things about it and the price is reasonable. Better options?
The Revo Uninstaller way would probably be best. But such stubborn files can usually be deleted from outside Windows by booting into recovery mode or accessing the command prompt with Windows install media. Since drives won't necessarily have the same identifying letters as they do inside...
I'm sick of the dreary black screen whenever I restart and shut down Windows 11 and when updates are installing. Has anybody found a way to set screen color as we could easily do in 10? It seems Microsoft is forever taking away our choices and very rarely – if ever – giving us new ones.
Started with Classic Shell when Windows 8 came along. Later switched to Open-Shell. Like the extensive customization options. No plans to ever rely on boring Windows Start Menu again.
Too bad that doesn't work on Zoom. I recently got upgraded to 115.2 and everything is much bigger than it was. The whole window needs zooming out about 2 or 3 clicks, but that ordinary feature won't respond either by clicking on it or using Ctrl + -. Aside from everything being too big, the...
