I am sick and tired of having to do in-place upgrades or /restorehealth to install updates. Those things mess up all my modification, settings and start menu :-( Is it so very hard to make the updates work? Never a problem on Windows 10.

Well since this happends all the time that is a bit difficult. Kind of regret upgrading to Windows 11 all the time :-(

Yes. I did. Now I gave up and restored a backup image. Have to do lots of updating work now :-( Now it works again. But how long? To the next Windows update? Or?

System Restore has always worked before on both my Windows 10 and my two Windows 11 systems. I do have image backup software (Aomei Backup), but that won't work now either (not Aomei Partition Assistent either). And restore of image backup (boot Aomei from USB to restore) does not fix this error...

40 GB free. Have downloaded the update manually from the catalog as well. Same problem. Power is OK. Date and time is right. All the services are running as they should. Remember this happends to both my Windows 11 systems (one new and one old PC). It is not the same error as I had the last time...
