I am sick and tired of having to do in-place upgrades or /restorehealth to install updates.
Those things mess up all my modification, settings and start menu :-(
Is it so very hard to make the updates work? Never a problem on Windows 10.
Yes. I did.
Now I gave up and restored a backup image.
Have to do lots of updating work now :-(
Now it works again. But how long?
To the next Windows update? Or?
My desktop is conected to the router with cable and working.
My other laptop and phone is connected to wifi and working.
No Wifi networks list in Windows 11 on the laptop with trouble (not mine, not any neighbours).
This has happened once before and then I had to rollback to a full backup.
This...
Windows 11 no wifi networks showing (adapter and driver ok).
After an update Windows 11 suddenly sees no Wifi networks.
I have check the netwrok card driver (even tried to uninstall and reinstall several versions).
In "Network connectons" (old style settings) card shows but with "Not...
This is almost hilarious (if I hadn't wasted so much time before I accidently saw this).
Something (I don't have any idea on what) seems to have messed with the Defender settings.

I do have image backup software (Aomei Backup), but that won't work now either (not Aomei Partition Assistent either).
And restore of image backup (boot Aomei from USB to restore) does not fix this error...

Also checked all vss providors and all are "stable" and...

Suddenly one of my Windows 11 laptops won't do anything
that has to do with "System Restore". Just get an error
about "Shadow copy error 0x80042306".
- Tried "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
- Failed at about 80% (could not find something)
- Tried "sfc /scannow"
- Failed at about...
As 0x8007005 indicates a permission issue I got an idea and tried running "tweaking.com's Windows Repair" and reset permissions for files, registry and services and THEN the updates did installed. This must be the 1000 time this tool saves me (even have saved me once when repair-install...
40 GB free. Have downloaded the update manually from the catalog as well. Same problem.
Power is OK. Date and time is right. All the services are running as they should.
Remember this happends to both my Windows 11 systems (one new and one old PC).
It is not the same error as I had the last time...
