personally, i do clean installs every year or so anyway. so, i definitely go with clean installs for major updates like that. can't say if you'll have issues going the upgrade route, but i did have issues with my user folder after taking the win10 creators update whenever that was.

what's taking up this space? I have not connected to a network yet. I did run the unattend to park Users on another drive. Explorer is showing hidden items as follows:
