I have gone down the route of rejoining "Preview Release" and this has wiped out the rogue install of 25H2. I have just checked for updates and it has not returned. I have sent feedback of this problem to Microsoft FWIW.

I am on the Insider Preview builds though have unenrolled. I am thinking that the update may be for Beta testers and Microsoft has screwed up.

I have looked through the Windows Insider Programme and the latest version issue is 17/11/2025 "Releasing Windows 11 Builds 26100.7296 and 26200.7296 to the Release Preview Channel" There is nothing else listed after this so I have no idea what the update on the 21/11/2015 is.

KB5044384 seems to have knocked out two firewall settings. I checked File and Printer Sharing and now I have a functional network for file sharing.

I do not know if these are isolated or commonplace occurrences with this update. There is nothing on the Microsoft page...just says 404 error.
