Having had two (Win Pro 11 & Office Pro) successful purchases from Stack Social, I highly recommend checking them out for any software purchases.

Thanks for all the suggestions to my problem. Finally called ASUS since warranty on motherboard is still active. They had me clear CMOS and my problem seems to be resolved.

Thanks for the multiple suggestions. I forgot to mention that both DVD drives (one Sony & one Pioneer) are working perfectly for all reads & writes, as well as burning stuff to them- they are hard-wired to the motherboard, not wi-fi or bluetooth. I entered BIOS and checked Secure Boot settings...

Recently, my battery level icon has been missing from the taskbar on my Surface Pro 7. Any ideas on how to bring it back? The icon is important because my three year old Surface Pro has only about 3 hours or less duration when unplugged.
