    Doh.....!!:hot: This is exactly what I needed! I'd forgotten to switch on Samba file sharing....once I did that, was asked for windows credentials, then Bingo! A senior moment, and yet another opportunity to emerge as a plonker. Thanks again!

    @Nipdawg .....tried that....doesn't work for me!! Just to clarify....as I'm getting confused here with the word 'mapped' The network drive I'm referring to....is just found when I plug it in....I haven't gone through a 'map network drive' process. Does this change things???

    Very possibly have the same problem. After updating to 24H2....I can 'see' my network device (in this case MOODE) Trying to open it gives : "Windows cannot access \\MOODE " Right clicking doesn't show 'properties' ....if that helps! Any help much appreciated....please!!
