Doh.....!!:hot:
This is exactly what I needed! I'd forgotten to switch on Samba file sharing....once I did that, was asked for windows credentials, then Bingo!
A senior moment, and yet another opportunity to emerge as a plonker.
Thanks again!
Have been successfully viewing my RPi4/Moode (audio-player) instance over local network for some years now.
Yesterday...I noticed that I'm now unable to view the Moode folders (Windows cannot access \\MOODE)
However....I DO have networked access to the RPi/Moode player.......and don't understand...
Thanks XxXxX.......after a lot of confusion, got into safe mode via Advanced Startup options.
Realised that when asked for an Admin password.....I could enter that as a blank....as there isn't one!
Selected Admin account.....and now back to normal I believe!! Phew!
Thanks to all for your...
Hoping for some help here, as I'm totally lost now!
For many years....have setup my PC using netplwiz to allow login without password....it's been great!
I've always used an Admin account....and it has worked for me (No other users have access)
A couple of days ago....I foolishly decided to...
In the past...I haven't actually 'setup' any folders in Moode......
I have 4 x USB drives plugged into RaspberryPi(Running Moode)....
Until now....browsing to MOODE (as a network share on PC....see my pic).....allowed me to see/access all four drives as separate 'shares'
Hope I've used the...
Right clicked ThisPC....went to 'map network drive'....entered '\\MOODE\'.....same window pops up again saying
"Windows cannot access \\MOODE "
Going round in circles here!!!:eek1:
So....is it the case that....following update to 24H2....I now MUST use the 'Map Network Drive' option?
Prior to the update....I didn't need to do this.....now it's a requirement???
Thanks for your patience...I'm easily confused!!!
ALSO......I don't have a NAS....and am clueless as to what my...
@Nipdawg
.....tried that....doesn't work for me!!
Just to clarify....as I'm getting confused here with the word 'mapped'
The network drive I'm referring to....is just found when I plug it in....I haven't gone through a 'map network drive' process.
Does this change things???
Very possibly have the same problem.
After updating to 24H2....I can 'see' my network device (in this case MOODE)
Trying to open it gives : "Windows cannot access \\MOODE "
Right clicking doesn't show 'properties' ....if that helps!
Any help much appreciated....please!!
