No i meant the current winusb i made for the clean installation i disabled auto bitlocker, i have no external hdds my 4tb wd external hdd died suddenly anyway it didnt contain any data i want so i can open the laptop and remove the 2tb ssd ?

even if i will delete the whole partiton of C ? i cant get to windows as you know thats winusb installation, i made the usb with rufus and disabled auto bitlocker, the device was resetted when i bought it

The shop owner couldnt get the key, i think its a deadend and i should delete the partition & start fresh ubfortunately, lesson learned

Hmmm im asking in general in my case, data is there or no because if no i will go reinstall windows if yes i will wait for the shop owner if he can help

If i got the bitlocker key will i be able to boot windows again & fix all this ?

I accessed my 2tb drive from HCBD & saw my files also in macrium rescue only C drive was stated bitlocker encrypted

The 2tb is an internal ssd with my data its not bitlocker encrypted, so in my case the data is there but encrypted ? Or gone & i go ahead & clean install windows ?, bitlocker was on since i got the laptop its a 2nd hand device so i think the key is stored in the 1st owner ms account

It only shows repair pc or install windows & to proceed to drive selection screen you must checkbox that all files & settings will be deleted, if its possible i would reinstall windows & let it keep windows.old in the drive if i later somehow been able to get the bitlocker key at any point

I know, but im asking is the data there or no?, for knowledge im asking, i mean it shows empty but data is encrypted & inside & it shows empty for the corruption happened in the Fs for example or data is not there ? I asked the shop i bought the laptop from if he can retrieve the old owner no...

Unfortunately i think no, in my ms account there is nothing stored there, also i want to ask is thats why its showing the drive storage is empty ? As if data is encrypted or something ? Otheriwse it would show the real storage space used & free Or data is gone already
