Noice!
Hi there all,
I've had another one of these nvcontainer.exe app crashes and here's the event viewer info. I wonder if someone could look at this for me and help me track this problem down. I am still debating removing the Nvidia App entirely, but thought I'd post this for reference.

@zbook useful, thank you. Just to confirm, I haven't had any instability or unexpected shutdowns. This thread was purely informational and research based.
Hey mate, thanks for this! I suspected as much. Mine only occurs when I go into bios so I am assuming this slows one particular process down on boot (say the way an ssd talks to a processor as in your eg) and it spits out an erroneous hardware fault.
It also seems to be agnostic of system (can...
No BSODs or instability. This is purely a bug in the MSI bios. Others reporting the same issue here: Reddit - The heart of the internet
It’s caused when entering bios.
Found the issue - this is caused by MSI bios. When you enter bios and make changes there is chance this event viewer log will appear. It’s harmless and not related to any hardware fault. It just shows that a hardware change has been made and can be safely ignored.
Just wanted to say thanks for you time here. I'm probably just going to ignore the error for now and will also get rid of the NV app soon too. Not happy with editing registry and I'd rather not bork my Win11 install.
Cheers :)
Since you put it that way, NV app will be nuked from my system.
It’s annoying because the only feature I like and use is the DLSS swapping function - this is the only way I can get Red Dead 2 to accept a new DLSS preset because I stupidly bought the game via Rockstar Launcher, which doesn’t...
I still like to use the NV app because it allows me to change DLSS preset.
Is the NVContainer.exe actually the driver or is it just the app / telemetry? Thanks
Hi folks,
I’m having a weird issue: occasionally (every few days I’d say) I’m noticing a 1000 id error message in event viewer which states that the NVContainer.exe app is crashing.
I’ve noticed this over the last few Nvidia drivers, but I can’t pin point exactly which driver this started...
