  1. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

Again, interesting. It's exactly what I expected but they should have provided the option to password-protect it.
  2. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

Ok, thanks! So, in your case, 45 mins for about 2.5GB...wow, interesting again! And the restore process was simply to boot into WinRE, navigate to the Troubleshooting menu, then select the restore point to process?
  3. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

Wow, that's quite interesting! How big was the restore file? Also, do you have BitLocker enabled? If not, for the restore, was all you had to do to restore was just boot into the WinRE Troubleshoot menu?
  4. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

Yeah, I rely on Macrium for my backups and was only interested in testing this as something I could enable for use during the week, when I am typically not making any backups.
  5. Point-in-time restore for Windows 11 is now generally available

My first restore point was created yesterday; however, I'm not seeing the Restore menu option when I boot into WinRE.
  6. Desktop Icons....Strange Occurence

I've been looking for this solution since forever! 😁 Thanks!
  7. WordTsar - the modern WordStar

@PhilB, sorry, but you have absolutely no idea how much I loved JCL!!! 😁 It was like another programming language and the geek programmer I was back then, I just loved to discover all the things I could do with it! Ahh, yes, the good old days!!! 🤣 Try not to laugh at me with this story: So...
  8. My Apps are playing audio louder than the master volume on external speakers only

Thanks...but another problem in my situation is that I use a docked setup for both my personal and work laptops and the work laptop is completely locked down, so I'm unable to install anything and I need a solution that will cover both computers.
  9. My Apps are playing audio louder than the master volume on external speakers only

It's the Creative USB driver that's the culprit, I'm sure! I connected the speakers via Bluetooth and no issues whatsoever; it's only via USB that the issue occurs. Furthermore, while using USB, if I use the physical buttons on the Pebble to raise or lower the volume, then the volume setting...
  10. My Apps are playing audio louder than the master volume on external speakers only

Hi, I have the Creative Pebble Nova speakers connected via USB and just recently, all apps are playing audio louder than the master volume setting. Since, by default, these apps have their volume setting at 100%, they end up playing at 100% of my Pebble!!! The only thing I can do with the...
  11. Multiple monitor behavior - I cannot Alt-Tab to, close, minimize or maximize a window on a monitor no longer connected, open windows are orphaned

So, I'm totally aware of daisy-chaining and I tried it once, ages ago, but because of resolution limitations with 3 monitors, I opted not to use it. My only guess is that because the physical disconnect happens after Windows sleeps, is that it wakes up thinking that the connections are still...
  12. Multiple monitor behavior - I cannot Alt-Tab to, close, minimize or maximize a window on a monitor no longer connected, open windows are orphaned

Can you clarify exactly what you mean by resuming with only one of the two external monitors? That is, is only one monitor physically powered on/connected? Also, I'm presuming that the power off/disconnect happens after your laptop has been put to sleep, correct? So, I have three external...
  13. Latest Logitech Logi Options+

Great to know and thank you!
  14. Latest Logitech Logi Options+

Does this firmware get updated automatically? How do I check which version I am currently running? I just upgraded from the MX Master 3S to the 4 and I want to make sure I have everything up-to-date. Thanks!
  15. Missing taskbar icons after sleep (and how to temporarily fix it)

Yes, this is what I do as well. I created a batch file and a Start menu shortcut for it so that when it happens, I just click Start > (my shortcut).
