That is not "hard reset", lol. Is force shutdown! Now make sense. When you take out from flight mode, all apps are activated to try to get information from Internet, even OS, all that makes consumption to rise to high levels. You have hard drive or SSD?

Never do hard reset or try to install OS while PC is on Battery. And... Check you battery health... Use Dism a scannow to check OS.

In Windows site download the ISO version, extract it with 7z, Winrar or else. Backup your personal data, if you are using online account use it to backup. Execute the serut and Update from there but with a clean install. Restore your data. Is the best option.
