Thank you for the detailed post! I managed to fix it in the end with the "Fix problems with windows update" option.
It was the only thing that worked.
It downloaded a 24H2 repair version and installed all the latest updates with no more errors in Windows update now.
It just baffled me as this...
I fixed it in the end! The only thing that worked was "Fix problems with Windows update option"
It downloaded a 24H2 repair version and installed all the latest updates that kept failing.
So bizarre after literally a clean install not long ago!
Yes that's how I did it rather than the media creation tool.
Dowoaded the latest 64 bit ISO, Mounted it and tried running the in place upgrade from there and that failed also.
When I get the time, I think I have got a slightly older image somewhere, I may have to try that before clean...
I don't have secure boot enabled, It's set to Other OS in my Asus Bios so I think that means it's disabled.
I did read somewhere that >NET Framwork 3.5 Not being installed can cause issues with some updates but I can't even install that without an error.
When I try to install the >NET...
Lol that failed also haha, I am at a loss, It started to install and looked like it installed then rebooted and said undoing changes and this was the error after I finally logged back into Windows.
Already done a clean install of Windows 11 Pro a week ago and already getting failed updates that won't install.
Tried SFC File checker no errors.
No errors in the component store already check with DISM
Reset Windows update components.
And still it fails to update.
Can anyone shed any light...
