  1. "Fix problems without resetting your PC" is missing... why?

Besides Dalchina's proposalin post n° 17 you could also try this; Complete Internet Repair | Rizonesoft
  2. Windows Tracks You With a Hidden ID. So We Built deGDID to Block It.

Hi Marie, how did you know ? :-)(y) I restartet twice verifying every time the statuts before. Please see attached the message after restarting and testing the status:
  3. CCleaner Alternatives

Hi, please see my contribution in this thread. Regards
  4. Windows Tracks You With a Hidden ID. So We Built deGDID to Block It.

Hi, I just tried it out and blocked GDID (I needed to set powershell execution policy to "remote signed" before I could run the powershell script). Because I observed a contribution from @Shambles Bank in another thread at the same time, I downloaded the Microsoft PC Manager app (through a...
  5. CCleaner Alternatives

I'd replace CCleaner, if I could find something allowing to add your own files / folders for cleaning, like the older versions (up to version 6) of CCleaner (options \ include) did.
  6. Dvd Player error 0xc00d4e84

Do ypu have the corresponding driver installed ? If so, you could try this: DVD Drive Repair | Rizonesoft But there could also be a physical problem (connection or the player itself).
  7. Windows restore point updates

Do you have a cleaner that runs automatically, like CCleaner or something similar and you have have checked a box to clean the restore points and forgotten about; See here for CCleaner, but there are others: CCleaner Support Community
  8. Device Disassociation (Unpairing) Failed. 3502 + Windows Search Indexer (Slow for the indexer to activate)

I second @garlin's proposal; I also had problems with my old HP Printer and disabled ReadyPrint. An here is a nice tool to flush your printer spooler (as @Glaskuter proposes, if I understand correctly): printflush-1.3.zip Run as administrator ! I am using it since many, many years.
  9. Solved Adding old profile to newly installed Firefox

Just delete the second profile in your list (with the ending "-release", i.e. nsmq9.... in your case) or drag and drop the corresponding AppData-folder to your desktop or elsewhere (to keep it in case of ...). I use Moz Backup to backup my profile (oldie but goody); you can chose the elements of...
  10. Anybody familiar with TCP "desuboptimization" powershell script?

@hdmi Thank you very much ! I was able to upload à 2.7 GB zipped file to my Google Drive tonight. The first time in a long while long that the connection was not interrupted (y):-)
  11. Anybody familiar with TCP "desuboptimization" powershell script?

Hi @hdmi, I run your script after having added the following line at the end "Read-Host -Prompt "Press Enter to exit" (to see what is happening). Everything looked fine first (= multiple "ok"s), but then came the following error: Set-NetIPInterface : Impossible de trouver un paramètre...
  12. Just removed the Intel display driver with DDU... and nothing happened

Thank you for that statement. Yes you are right and my presumption (and it was only that) was wrong. I confused the "Intel driver vs basic driver"-debate with the "GPU vs CPU"- debate (not seeing the difference between iGPU and GPU). I googleed those terms after Helmut mentioned them in his...
  13. Just removed the Intel display driver with DDU... and nothing happened

May be, I do not exclude changing mind. But explanations just stating an absolute truth, like: "Thus spoke Zarathustra" simply don't convince me".
  14. Just removed the Intel display driver with DDU... and nothing happened

Thank you for the link ! (y) I now understand a (little) bit ! I suppose the Intel driver is mainly for gaming (and IA in the future), ... both of which I consider as more or less superfluous. So I'll continue with the basic driver for the moment until I see the benefit of the Intel driver...
  15. Just removed the Intel display driver with DDU... and nothing happened

Thank you very much, the dxdiag hint was of great help. I found the driver that substitutes to the Intel driver (= basicdisplay.sys) in "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\basicdisplay.inf". Sorry Helmut, but I was unable to derive from your reply the exact reason why I should not...
