  1. Win Update KB5095093 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Preview build 26100.8737 (24H2) and 26200.8737 (25H2) - June 23

Despite previously stating I wouldn't bother downloading preview updates, I couldn't help myself. Downloaded, updated, no issues whatsoever.
  2. Tiny11 Install

Read this thread: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/epic-fail-trying-to-remove-copilot-and-bing-completely-from-win-11-pro.47435/#post-749869 As a native English speaker resident in the UK which is not part of the European Union, I naturally chose Ireland as they of course are in the EU. Many I...
  3. Tiny11 Install

@Digidoc I'm running Windows 11 Pro 25H2 without any problems whatsoever. I 'debloated' by setting my PC up as if it were in a EU country, thus giving me the option to uninstall elements of MS programs which I neither want nor need without having to resort to using third party programs or...
  4. Solved Cleaning software

I use CCleaner v.7.8.1355.0 (latest version) and it gives me no issues whatsoever using it alongside MS own cleanup tools.
  5. Epic fail trying to remove CoPilot and Bing completely from Win 11 Pro

  6. Epic fail trying to remove CoPilot and Bing completely from Win 11 Pro

Yes, but using OOBE you can keep your personal files etc but you must follow the tutorial for it implicitly. Usual, back everything up first. No IP conflict, no VPN involved, no mismatch, just run OOBE and select a EU Country of your choice. Obviously Ireland for me was a natural choice being a...
  7. Epic fail trying to remove CoPilot and Bing completely from Win 11 Pro

I used the OOBE (Out of Box Experience) method to allow me to have the option of uninstalling Edge and Copilot. I did this using official MS methods so that my PC device region is now showing as being a EU Country (Ireland) instead of the UK. I could have used other methods but I chose the...
  8. Epic fail trying to remove CoPilot and Bing completely from Win 11 Pro

O&O ShutUp! doesn't remove Copilot, it merely disables it as far as I know. At present, on my system, Copilot is disabled. I do however have the option to uninstall Copilot because of EU Digital Markets Act option. I haven't suffered any negative effects using O&O ShutUp! since I installed it...
  9. Microsoft just do whatever they want casually in update (KB5094126 related)

To be fair, it’s Microsoft’s tea party 🤷‍♂️
  10. Microsoft Introducing Windows Ready Print and Modernized Driver Selection on Windows 11

As a direct result of seeing this thread, I've just set up my Brother MFC-L2750DW using Windows Ready Print and everything is working just fine. (y) I have of course uninstalled all of the Brother bloatware that I had previously installed prior to enabling Windows Ready Print.
  11. Solved switching from FF to Chrome browser. any caveats?

I'm genuinely curious? Why? Ok, I accept a browser choice is just that, a choice, but it would be interesting to know why Brave warrants just those two words? From a personal perspective, having used Google, Edge and Firefox previously, I'm now sold on Brave. Been using it for over a year now...
  12. Solved Don't ignore your desktop PC's empty M.2 slots - they're more useful than you think

I have a spare NVME slot on my board but I genuinely at this time, have no reason to fill it. I've also realised reading this thread, that it's clearly frequented by retirees! I'm 58 and retired and I now have to sit through this all day
  13. Solved Edge/uninstall

I think there might be a misunderstanding by some about how uninstalling Edge perhaps isn’t the nuclear option some would have others believe. MS has to provide the option for many countries to uninstall Edge because they are required to do so and that involves not making Windows unusable or...
  14. Epic fail trying to remove CoPilot and Bing completely from Win 11 Pro

I disabled Copilot by using O&O Shutup! As for Bing, I don't have that or any widgets, because I uninstalled Edge. However that might be a bridge too far for some! But as has been posted, try a specific uninstaller.
  15. Solved Edge/uninstall

Which is fine if you want to block Edge. Some of us just don't want it and prefer the option to just uninstall Edge, period.
