The 2025-11 preview update did not help, and it still does not work. Also, on my work machine where I had 24H2 I just updated to 25H2, and the suggestions immediately disappeared so it is now (at least on my end) fully proven that as @Brink said, it is 25H2 that has a bug in that suggestions...

I avoid that browser generally, almost at all costs, so I cannot test. But am downloading so I'll report if it helps.

Dear @Brink, any idea? I must say that I am on 25H2 though it was installed by upgrading from my W10 via the Win11 Installation Assistent and not a clean install.

I just made sure they are enabled for me yet I still don't get the suggestions. So I manually erased the below regedit entry and re-added it via Brink's reg file yet still nothing ... what gives?

Someone give this man a medal, I ain't got a spare one. At work we're forced to have Location on. IT said it's a must in order to ... whatev, some updates or whatever. Sounds more like spying to me but anyway the annoying popping in and out icon was driving me nuts until I read this comment...

Similar story here on W11 with tabbed and non-tabbed explorer ... both classic and modern style.

hope u can see it, it's from @dacrone's latest proposed solution, in the link. It's almost as bad on my end as shown on the X video.

OK nice, looks promising. Insta trying it out. Was just surprised that it hadn't been thrown in to this discussion so far but better late than never. Will report back on whether it fixes anything. @jed maybe too?

Probably @jed is having the same issue I am having and clarifying it is ... hm... well, the whole explorer navigation back n forth is lagging big time ... one reboots and it's sorta ok but over time it becomes slow again.
