  1. Problem with Notepad

This looks to me like word wrap is on. As soon as the window width is changed or the document is opened in a different width window your layout get messed up. Turning word wrap off might work - but you may find yourself having to horizontally scroll a lot and remembering to enter line breaks...
  2. Solved Files Transfer

You should be able to do this through your local network - the connection goes through your router not the internet. If both computers are logged into the same microsoft account it should be easy, a bit more complicated if they are not. I used to do this but because I rarely have two devices...
  3. Solved Movies & TV app

Not certain, but this sounds like a Microsoft account issue. In that case you should go to "Manage your account" in settings and remove any devices you don't have anymore or don't use. (A good thing to do anyway.) If need be you could always create a new ms account for use with other devices...
  4. Personalization Disable "Show more options" context menu in Windows 11

Sorry, Brink I missed your reply at #31 until now - Yes I did do restarts to double check the registry changes had taken place.
  5. Personalization Disable "Show more options" context menu in Windows 11

Oddly, running the .reg file worked fine on one laptop but not on the other. But I succeeded on that one when I opened regedit as administrator and ran the .reg by choosing to open with regedit. Just reporting this in case it helps others.

I've just tried this myself (to make the taskbar smaller) and it seems to work but as noted by Wisewiz it makes some of the icons misaligned - not ideal but might be worth it for the space with lower resolution screens.
  7. Remove Context Menu Items

Yes, I use 7zip and get some context menu options for it - but I can choose which ones can appear or not by going into the options in 7zip settings so I guess it would be similar with other programs.
  8. Windows 11 Annoyances

With any updated version of Windows it's taken a few days to get things sorted as I like and a bit more time to get used to it. So I feel we have to allow for that (if we haven't already). Yes, I'd rather some things were different but it's useable for me. But I am reminded of a thought I had...
  9. Windows 11 Annoyances

Personally, I'm finding W11 quite OK. I upgraded(?) from created media, keeping files and settings. I was pleasantly surprised that it kept Vivaldi as my default browser. But a bit disappointed that the new OS didn't seem that much different. As I expected I am annoyed that the taskbar can't be...
