Well I thought you may know more than me so I ran the AMD software updater and guess what, it didn't update my AMD chipsets so I downloaded the driver set and my drivers are the same as they were before I did it, so perhaps you shouldn't come to your conclusion
I have just watched a Youtube on how Microsoft has not supported AMD CPU's in windows 11 the same as they have in windows 10.
It would seem AMD is running a lot slower whereas Intel is as it was in 10, personally I haven't noticed and I run a Ryzen 7 4700u so we may only be talking milliseconds.
BullGuard AV would not update protection and had not updated from the date I upgraded to 11, no matter how many times I tried manually.
I found on 2 banking sites Win 11 would not let me log out and I had to shut down the browser then go back to see if I had to login again to confirm the...
My Asus PN50-E1 uses the CPU's (Ryzen 7 4700u) own Radeon Vega 7 graphics.
It works in Win 10 without a problem that's why I thought it might be Win 11.
I have have just had a bios update for my Lenovo Legion with Win 11 fixes to UEFI boot, that's what made me think it could also be a Asus bios...
I installed version 22000.120 yesterday and all is well, no glitches so far 🤞.
EDIT: I spoke too soon, it started when I put it in sleep mode and it wouldn't come out, nothing worked.
I shut it down with the power button and when I restarted it again it goes past post OK but just keeps...
Thanks, I was thinking the same so I am going to stick with 10 for now as that gives no problems. Perhaps I will try again later and get another updated preview.
Since I updated my Asus PN50-E1 to Windows11 I have had no problems whatsoever, it booted up in a matter of seconds, but the last 2 days I have done a clean boot it either took over 1 minute to get to the 4 pane windows icon and rotating dots, and then a few seconds to the login screen or...
It looks like you have read my question wrong, I didn't ask about the SSD I have fitted, my question was does my PN50-E1 support NVMe 4.0 as shown in the CPU-Z image. Cheers
When I bought the Asus PN50 barebones I looked up all the specs and bought an 1 Tb Samsung 980 NVMe 3.0 x4 as Asus specified 3.0 x4 in the Asus support.
I have just run CPU-Z as shown below and this states I have a PCI-Express 4.0 (16.0 GT/s does this mean I could have installed a 4.0 and not...
When I got up this morning I was greeted with 6 Windows updates which I executed.
I wondered if it might cure the .jpg fault I have. I then went into settings/apps/default apps and typed in .jpg in the search for "Set a default for a file type" and this time it came up as associated with...
I think I have found the fault, in Irfanview 64bit the association with jpg & png keeps un-ticking itself.
I tick it, click Ok to save, close it down. Open it and the ticks have gone.
I have just uninstalled Irfanview and reinstalled it again along with the plugins and its just the same story...
I have tried all you suggest to associate this file, I just tried .gif, .txt, .pdf and when you select properties there IS a change button, but try .jpg properties and it does not have a change button as shown. It is if Win 11 has this file association missing. When I do a windows search for...
