  1. Solved Thunderbird Tweak needed

I found the fix thanks to another post on this great forum. I changed the following reg entry "CaptionHeight" from its default 334 to 534. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics I'll mark this post as solved.
  2. Win Update KB5036893 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Build 22621.3447 (22H2) and 22631.3447 (23H2)

Mine is a Gigabyte Z690 Gaming X (rev. 1.0/1.1) mobo.
  3. Win Update KB5036893 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Build 22621.3447 (22H2) and 22631.3447 (23H2)

OK, seems although Secure Boot is enabled, it is not Active. How do I make it Active? EDIT: OK, I had to switch to Custom mode not standard. It asked me if I wanted to reset factory defaults and I clicked on YES. The system rebooted and the BIOS says it is now Active in Standard mode. Windows...
  4. Win Update KB5036893 Windows 11 Cumulative Update Build 22621.3447 (22H2) and 22631.3447 (23H2)

I wish that was the case. My Secure Boot is enabled. I've tried turning it off, rebooting several times and turned Secure Boot back on but still getting the error. Checking Device security, it's got a green tick and it all says it is OK. So don't know what's going on.
  5. Solved Thunderbird Tweak needed

OK, thanks. I've had a play. The advanced System Font Changer app changed everything to 16pt. It was originally 9pt but It wouldn't let me change it, kept defaulting to 16pt. Thankfully I made a Macrium backup before playing. I also tried various reg tweaks, but none of them seemed to work. I...
  6. Solved Thunderbird Tweak needed

Is there any way to increase the size of the area shown in the image below highlighted in yellow? Compared to the huge main area at the top with the big red 'X' to close Thunderbird, when I view an email, the top area of the email is tiny. I have tried changing the font size in Thunderbird but...
  7. Solved Recent replaced by suggested on start menu search

I had turned history off doah! Thanks for that, I'll mark this post as solved
  8. Solved Recent replaced by suggested on start menu search

Just when I thought I had got used to Windows 11, an update (not sure which one) has replaced the 'Recent' to 'Suggested' when you click on the search bar on the start menu. To get around this, I've had to create a folder with all my most used system shortcuts (run, command prompt, device...
  9. Is there a way to increase "menu" fonts to a larger size?

You can always adjust the scaling. I have mine set to 175% now as I find 150% which is the recommended scale too small.
  10. Solved Ohhhh Microsoft, that was nasty

Logitech claim the MX Mechanical battery will last up to 15 days with backlighting on or up to 10 months with backlighting off. So yes, backlighting does use a lot of power. EDIT: It's a shame they have grey letters (not white) on light and dark grey keys. If it had white letters, I could turn...
  11. Microsoft is blocking Windows 11 build upgrades on systems with StartAllBack

I hope TranslucentTB doesn't get put on their list :plead:
  12. Solved Ohhhh Microsoft, that was nasty

I went for the MX Master S3 too. Then I thought I'd treat myself to the all new full size MX Mechanical. Both connected via the Bolt USB thing. My only gripe (and thousands of other folk) is there is no 'always on' or timer for the keyboard backlights. Logitech have no intention of fixing this...
  13. Hyper-V-Hypervisor

I started getting the Event ID 167 The hypervisor did not enable mitigations for side channel vulnerabilities for virtual machines because HyperThreading is enabled. I turned HyperThreading off in the BIOS and I no longer get the event show up in the Event Viewer logs. My PC doesn't seem any...
  14. OK Co-pilot has appeared but what do I do with it ???

A real idiot is bad enough, without making Artificial ones :lmao:
  15. KB5007651 crazy bug

OK, it's now fixed. I just run the Windows Update troubleshooter (System/Troubleshoot/Other trouble-shooters/Windows Update - click on Run). It found 1 issue and asked me if I wanted to fix it. I clicked YES. I then did another search for Windows Updates and Update for Windows Security platform...
