That didn't work for me. Just unchecking IPV6 did. Go to Network and Sharing Center, Ethernet, Properties and uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPV6). Someone smarter than me might tell me what kind of trouble that could cause. In the meantime I've got my internet back.

I've been trying to beat the context menus into submission with several tools - ShellFolderFix, ShellExView, ShellMenuView - and some registry tweaks. Possibly one of those is messing with the Open with menu. I also installed WaveEdit from NCH, which piles hundreds of spurious context menu...

@Brink , The example I posted is a PNG file. It was in a folder with mostly JPG files and I cropped its name out. Sorry for the confusion. Here's a wider crop - I was clicking Comparison.png.

In my current Windows 11 Pro (24H2) this no longer works. The OpenWithList exists, for example for .jpg, and has five programs in it, but only four of them are among the six in the Open With context menu for jpgs, and they are in a different order. Are there any other suggestions?
